National Theatre, Coffee with a Copper - Local Priorities Mobile phone theft, bag snatching and anti social behaviour

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Coffee with a Copper at the National Theatre was valuable afternoon of information sharing between NT staff, local residents and the Waterloo & South Bank officers. We were also joined by South Bank security team who provided useful local information about how they tackle anti social behaviour on a day-to-day basis. Questions asked by staff and residents were varied, but included topics around how to best prevent phone snatching and ick pocketing in the area. A hot topic was the issue of nuisance cars and motor bikes that turn up late evening on Belvedere road. Officers were at hand to answer individual questions and provide useful handouts to support crime prevention advice.
