Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
Dear Residents,
We are writing to update you on the current status of Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. Following recent developments, the relevant authorities have decided to renew the closure order for the shopping centre to address ongoing concerns regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB) and ensure the safety of all residents and visitors in the local area.
Why Has the Closure Order Been Renewed?
The decision to extend the closure order has been made as part of a continued effort to tackle persistent issues of anti-social behaviour that have impacted the shopping centre and surrounding community. This measure is essential to safeguard the well-being of residents, businesses, and visitors, and to create a safer and more secure environment for everyone
What Steps Are Being Taken?
We are working closely with law local authorities, and community organisations to address these issues effectively. This includes:
• Enhanced security measures to prevent further incidents of ASB. • Collaboration with local stakeholders to implement long-term solutions. • Community engagement initiatives to ensure the concerns of residents are heard and acted upon.
Keeping Residents Safe
Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities. The closure order is a necessary step to ensure that the shopping centre and surrounding areas are free from disruptive behaviour and can once again serve as a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
Next Steps
We will continue to address the challenges at hand and work towards the safety of the residents and the shopping centre. Regular updates will be provided to keep you informed of our progress.
