Dear Resident, I hope you are well. I wanted to share a brief update on the work completed across the ward over the past month, and to thank you for your continued support and communication. Your engagement truly helps us identify and tackle local issues more effectively. Over the past few weeks, officers have carried out regular patrols in hotspot areas and have spoken with many of you about ongoing concerns in the community. A number of positive outcomes have been achieved, including: Stop & Searches: Five or more stop and searches were completed in the Cricklewood Broadway and Cricklewood Lane areas. Although the positive outcome rate was low, these searches continue to play an important role in our preventative work.Arrest for Shoplifting Offences: While on patrol, PC David Kett identified a wanted individual linked to a series of shoplifting offences, who was arrested and subsequently remanded.Parcel Theft Arrest – The Groves NW2: PC Nathan Owen and PC David Kett stopped a suspicious male seen leaving a property carrying a parcel. After providing false details, he was arrested for theft when it was confirmed the parcel was not his. He is believed to be linked to other theft incidents in the area, an excellent result for ongoing investigations.Class B Drug Possession – Arrest: About a week ago, officers returning from patrols encountered a male drinking alcohol and smoking Class B drugs. During the Stop & Search, the male obstructed and assaulted officers while attempting to flee. Thanks to quick action by PC Valeryia Hardy, PCSO Jonathan Freedman, and PCSO Alexandra Gradinariu, he was restrained until PC Nathan Owen and PC David Kett helped officers on the scene. The male has been found in possession of multiple bags of Class B drugs, and has been charged. In addition to these incidents, officers have continued regular patrols across Westcroft Estate, the Terraces, Golders Green Estate, Brent Cross Town, Cricklewood Broadway, Cricklewood Lane, and the wider ward, dealing with other outstanding issues known to us or as they arise. We encourage Met Engage members to continue sharing the platform and to let neighbours know they can reach out to us. Your feedback helps us understand where we are most needed and ensures that our work remains focused on the issues that matter to you. Thank you again for your ongoing support.
