I wanted to provide you an update regarding Violent crime, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Dear Community,
I understand that there has understandably been a lot of concern due to an incident which occurred in the early hours of this morning, 1st December 2025. I would therefore like to provide you with the following update below:
Police were called on 1st December 2025, at around 0005 hours, reporting a male was smashing windows of numerous business premises in New Kings Road. The windows that were smashed belonged to Bayley & Sage Abode, Friarwood Wines & Spirits, Winkworth Fulham & Parsons Green Estate Agents, Bayley & Sage, and Sacred Tones. The male has smashed the business premises with a half of a base of a traffic cone. The male has also approached a motor vehicle which was parked nearby and proceeded to smash the back window of it. Numerous members of the public have seen the incident and calls were made to police.
I would like to reassure you that the suspect has been arrested for the offences of criminal damage, affray, and threats to kill. We would like to thank the local community for making calls to police at the time of the incident, so our Emergency Response Team were able to respond swiftly to detain and arrest the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing and a further update will be provided when possible.
Kind regards,
PS Johnny Farrugia
