Dollis Hill NPT visited various addresses today in Neasden with Brent council where we have had intel to suggest that the properties were being cuckooed. Further investigations will take place and help will be offered to the individual who were targeted by these drug dealers. Drug dealers usually target vulnerable adults who slowly take control of the property and use it to use and sell drugs. Signs of cuckooing Increased activity: An increase in visitors, often for short periods, and more vehicles at the property. Property damage: The door may be propped open or damaged. Behavioral changes: The resident seems anxious, is rarely seen, or has new, unknown associates staying with them. Anti-social behavior: Increased anti-social behavior around the property. Evidence of drug use: Discarded drug paraphernalia like syringes or foil. How to report cuckooing In an emergency: Call 999. For non-emergencies: Call 101 to reach the police. Report anonymously: Contact Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111. Contact your local authority: Report concerns to your local council or a relevant support service. Inform a trusted person: Speak to a friend, family member, social worker, or other trusted support worker. If you do suspect that someone is being cuckooed please do get in touch with us.
