Yesterday, between the hours of 09:00 - 10:00hrs I conducted Speed Watch duties in the area of Canterbury Road, Lydden. During this time, I observed and recorded a total of 147 passing vehicles entering the village, with 8 of those being driven in excess of the speed limit (equating to approx. 5.4% of all vehicles entering that area, within the half hour timeframe). It must be noted that this is an improvement on previous checks for this road. Kent Police is dedicated to ensuring Lydden continues to be a safe place to live, work and visit. |
