***Police Alert: Increase in Keyless Car Theft- Please Stay Vigilant***

Dear Residents, 

We are writing to make you aware of a recent increase in keyless car thefts in rural communities in and around our area. Offenders are targeting vehicles parked on driveways and near homes, often during the late evening and early hours of the morning.

Keyless entry vehicles are particularly at risk, as criminals may use signal-boosting devices to unlock and start cars without needing the physical key. Preventative measures on how to better secure your vehicles are contained in the leaflet attached.

Our officers will be conducting increased patrols in affected areas, and we encourage all residents to remain vigilant and share this information with neighbours, especially those who may not use email or social media.
