School Run Safety |
||
|
The safety of children around schools is a priority for us and for the community. We ask parents, carers and residents to help make journeys to and from school as safe as possible. Plan routes in advance so children know where they are going and can avoid isolated areas. Where possible, consider walking together or using public transport to reduce congestion near school gates. If you drive, please park responsibly and never stop on school markings or in places that could put children or staff at risk. Unsafe parking creates hazards and increases the chance of accidents.
Car sharing is another way to reduce traffic and improve safety. Fewer vehicles around schools means clearer visibility for pedestrians and less risk for children crossing roads. Please remain alert during drop-off and pick-up times and report any suspicious behaviour or vehicles acting unusually. Your vigilance helps protect children and prevents harm.
If you have concerns, call 101 for non-emergencies or 999 if a child is in immediate danger.
Working together, we can keep our schools and community safe.
