On Friday 28th November, PCSO Aleem carried out both foot and static patrols outside Ilford Train Station in support of ongoing efforts to improve safety and reduce fare evasion.

During the patrol, four males were stopped for tailgating through the station barriers. Ticket inspectors issued penalty fares to all the individuals concerned. One male, who tailgated through the barrier was challenged by the train station security staff, was issued with a fine following their intervention.

A separate incident occurred when another male assaulted the train station security guard while attempting to avoid inspection. Officers and security staff worked together and detained the suspect, who was subsequently arrested for the assault. and possession of cannabis.

This was a strong result for Ilford Town SNT, demonstrating effective partnership working with security staff and ticket inspectors while maintaining safety and reassurance for commuters.
