What's been happening this week in Stockland Green & Erdington (24th November – 29th November)
Our officers have been on pro-active patrols into the early hours targeting Slade Road, to address reports of prostitution and associated crimes taking place. Several females have been encountered, and they have been offered referrals for support services whilst customers have been dealt with accordingly.
Our neighbourhood PCs and officers from our local Gangs Team have executed 2x warrants, whereby 2x arrests have been made in relation to theft of motor vehicle offences having taken place in the locality.
Officers have been out and about patrolling around Stockland Green, whereby they have arrested a well-known and prolific shoplifter, for both theft and for being ‘wanted’ three times for failing to appear at court for other crimes that they had committed. This individual has been processed and will be dealt with accordingly in due course.
Several Targeted Guardian patrols have taken place around prevalent times throughout the week, in both Stockland Green and Erdington High Street to tackle both violent crime and anti-social behaviour. Plenty of intelligence has been gathered throughout the week, and will be looked into further over the coming days.
PCSO’s from Stockland Green have recently met up with a number of local residents, our local Neighbourhood Watch representative and local Councillor to discuss concerns within the area. A number of matters have been raised and will be either signposted to the most appropriate agency or investigated by our team.
Our website page is regularly updated with meetings and any local community events that we have arranged, details can be found at: Stockland Green | Your area | West Midlands Police | West Midlands Police
Our next police surgery meeting is scheduled for 7:00PM - 8:00PM on Tue 16 December 2025 at Highcroft Community Centre CIO 485 Slade Road Birmingham; further events will soon be available to view.
We are pleased to announce that our PCSO’s are in the process of organising some contact meetings specifically for our younger residents, via our local Development Officer for the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation.
Alongside cricket coaching, Warwickshire Cricket Association assists in delivering a range of workshops for young people, including sessions on mental health, self-confidence, self-defence, and general wellbeing. Tournaments and community activities also take place to keep the young people engaged, active, and away from negative influences. | ||
