NL59 November Newsletter 2025
Welcome to my monthly update for the residents and communities of the NL59 Beat Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
– PCSO 6031 Charlie
-Significant rise in ASB related incidents in and around the park area. issues occur at weekends and late at night when youths congregate and use the off road bikes illegally and in an anti social manner. -Drug dealing and Drug use in the Sileby area in and around the park area. -There has been a slight rise in residential burglaries towards the end of 2024. The beat team will be looking to reduce these with the use of high visibility patrols in targeted areas. We will look to liaise with the community in those affected areas to provide crime prevention advice and discuss security measures.
-Work with partnering agencies to tackle reported Anti Social Behavior in the village and local parks. Those identified will be given warnings about their behavior using an incremental approach. Conduct extra patrols in the area and identify offenders with a view of seizing the bikes that are causing the issues. Increase in Patrols in the evening and deployment of ASB car to target the persons involved. A problem management plan has been implemented to assist with tackling the issue. -Targeted patrols to identify drug dealing & drug users in key locations, disrupt them, work with local residents to gather intelligence to assist with tackling the problem. Intelligence gathering with a view of conducting drugs warrants and regular patrols within key locations such as the memorial park to target offenders. -Since the beat team have had burglaries as a priority, work has been undertaken to show a presence in the areas affected by these offences. This work will continue and work will be done to reduce the burglary offences committed in the area, dealing with those involved robustly.
