Burglary Arrest - Tooting

On Saturday 9th August 2025 police received a call that a male had entered the staff area within Cycle Culture on Upper Tooting Road, SW17. Once in the staff area, the male stole keys, a purse containing a bank card and other items belonging to members of staff working at the location. The male then left the location, attempting to use the bank card at a nearby store. 

Following an investigation, on Wednesday 10th September 2025, a 48-year-old male from Mitcham was arrested by police and subsequently charged for Burglary contrary to Section 9(1)b of the Theft Act 1968. Bail was refused and the male was remanded in custody to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court. 

He has since pleaded guilty to Burglary and has been further remanded in custody to await sentencing for the offence.
