The West Wickham local police team have been visiting the Retail businesses on the High Street over the past weeks, covering nearly 90% of stores thus far. This is twofold. Firstly, to apply for CCTV cameras to cover The High Street, which is long overdue and as we know footage is a great tool for dealing with ASB and crime prevention. With their voices added to our application, having 58 stores signing our forms to present to Bromley Council, showing what a great addition to the high street this would be.
The second reason was to discuss the setting up of a communication group via WhatsApp solely for the business. This idea has been very welcomed. This would be a fantastic tool to alert business, of any issues that are of taking place and support with the issues of Isolation between individuals working alone in some of the businesses, giving them a great way to share information, and bringing a better working relationship between those who work hard to make West Wickham a beautiful destination for everyone.
