I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle Crime - them from / theft of, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. 🚔 Neighbourhood Policing Update – Proactive Action on Vehicle Crime
Today, Central Officers have been out in the area carrying out targeted, proactive enquiries into recent thefts from unattended vehicles. Thanks to this work, one male has been arrested and a quantity of stolen property has been identified and returned to its rightful owners.
During further proactive enquiries into a separate matter, officers made an additional arrest for the theft of a motorbike. The motorbike has now been recovered and returned to its owner, and the offender remains in custody.
Our teams are actively patrolling, reviewing CCTV, and engaging with residents to identify suspicious behaviour and tackle offenders before further crimes take place. Your information and vigilance play a key role in assisting these efforts.

Always remove or hide valuables, including bags, tools, and electronic devices. Lock your vehicle and double-check before walking away. Consider installing CCTV or video doorbells that cover your driveway or parking area. Parking in well-lit areas reduces opportunities for offenders. Report suspicious behaviour immediately—your call could prevent a crime or help us catch an offender in the act.
