Local Priorities Violence against women and girls Concern Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

This evening Officers from Camden Safer Neighbourhoods as part of White Ribbon conducted an Operation across the borough targeting private hire vehicles and ensuing that their drivers had the appropriate insurance and licenses from Transport for London.

I'm pleased to say that all of the vehicles stopped were complaint and had all of the required documentation in place, both they and their passengers where pleased to see the Police out actively conducting checks as without the correct applications having been completed a Minicab becomes just a strangers car.
