Crime Prevention advice - theft from motor vehicle

After a significant lull in thefts from motor vehicles across Crayford ward, we are sorry to say there has now been an increase in this crime in recent days.  Number plates are being stolen from vehicles as well as people trying to enter vehicles to steal.

We would also like you to be aware that there has been a report of a van having the lock drilled.  In this instance the suspect was not successful.  Theft from commercial vehicles has a particular impact as many victims are tradesmen who have spent years building up the tools for their trade, without them, they may be unable to work, tools cost a lot of money to replace.  Theft from a van could mean your parcel not being delivered in a timely manner with the inconvenience of having to chase up.
