Parking concerns |

Dear residents. We are working hard to tackle your parking concerns in Hollinswood area. Inconsiderate or illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users in danger. It can also create an obstruction for emergency vehicles. Some residents have reported garages being blocked, preventing the owner from getting their vehicle out. This is an offence. Officers have previously had cars recovered for this offence so please bear this in mind when choosing where to park. We have also had reports about inconsiderate and dangerous parking on the car park outside the Hollinswood Community Centre. You cannot park on double yellow lines or zebra crossings at any time. These are in place for a reason, to keep everyone safe. This is particularly prevalent when children are going to and from school. To park safely, you should allow extra time to find legal parking, and walk to school where possible. While some enforcement activity is carried out jointly with partners, (relevant local authority) employ parking enforcement officers to assist with these issues. But often problems can be resolved through raising awareness of the impact or consequences or other practical measures. We have been: You can find more information and guidance on parking concerns here: Parking issues and abandoned vehicles | West Mercia Police For more information please contact me or PCSO Ellis at: Nedge.snt@westmercia.police.uk
Many thanks for your help and support. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can effectively both prevent and detect crime and keep our communities safe. PCSO Ellis 40420 | ||
