Mobile phone theft

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

We would like to inform you that there have been three (3) mobile phone snatches reported in the area surrounding Brunel University. These offences typically involve suspects riding on e-scooters/ mopeds snatching phones from individuals who are using their mobile phones in public and taking the device before fleeing the scene.

We are increasing patrols in the area.
