Operation at Abbey Wood train station

The team recently took part in a large operation at Abbey Wood train station to promote personal safety around the station itself an and when using public transport. With assistance from several other local Policing teams from Thamesmead East, Thamesmead Moorings, Erith, Sidcup, Plumstead and Abbey Wood along with British Transport Police officers and a dog unit present, there were in excess of 30 stop and searches as part of this operation.

As well as the numerous searches carried out, two arrests were made for offences such as drug possession and theft / fraud - and as you will see from the images, two further arrests for possession of offensive weapons.
