Theft of Motor Vehicle Heath Row Bishops Stortford

Dear Resident,

Between 14:00 on the 23/11/25 and 17:00 on the 24/11/25 a theft of a vehicle occurred in Heath Row, Bishops Stortford.

The Victims Vehicle had broken down in Heath Row Bishops Stortford on the 20/11/25 near to Boyd Close, when the owner returned to collect their vehicle, they discovered it has been stolen.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox or a keyless signal can be received by relay devices.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bags or boxes, and consider using additional trackers, steering wheel locks or ghost immobilisers.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
