Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team this morning spent some time at the Bishop Pursglove C of E Primary School in Tideswell speaking to Year 5 & 6 regarding the topic of Knife Crime.
During the afternoon, officers then visited Stanton in the Peak C of E Primary School and first spoke to all year groups regarding the role of police which included a look around the police vehicles which the Safer Neighbourhood Team use day to day.
After the role of police talk to all year groups, officers then spoke to year 5 and 6 regarding the topic of knife crime.
The children at both schools were enthusiastic about the topics discussed and asked questions throughout our time when doing the talks during the morning and afternoon.
In between the visits to schools and attending incidents which SNT officers had to deal with, patrols have taken place around the beat we cover.
