|
Police are urging residents in Gloucester to vigilant after a series of burglaries this month (November). There have been 12 reported break-ins across Matson and Abbeydale over the last three weeks Officers are investigating whether the crimes are linked and are asking anyone with information to come forward. They would also like to talk to anyone who believes they have relevant CCTV, ring doorbell or dashcam footage, and who has not already spoken to police, to get in touch. The burglaries have taken place in the following roads: Stonechat, Grebe Close, Drayton Way, Kinmoor, Winnycroft Lane, Redwell Road, Haycroft Drive and St Peter’s Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police through the website, quoting incident 106 of 19 November: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/ Operation Switch, which runs throughout the winter months, aims to help residents better protect their homes during the darker nights. The campaign is being run across the county and police encourage the public to look at installing a 'WIDE' combination of security devices as they can provide 49 times more protection against residential burglary with entry compared to having no devices installed. More information on Operation Switch and ways to help protect your home can be found here: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/police-forces/gloucestershire-constabulary/areas/gloucestershire/campaigns/burglary/ You can report crimes anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. | ||
