Day of Unity protest - today, 24 November 2025 |
||
|
Humberside Police officers are currently in attendance in the areas of Immingham and South Killingholme as a part of a planned protest involving vehicles today, 24 November 2025. Officers are in attendance to allow people to go about their lawful business and to protect the right of individuals to take part and exercise their right to peaceful protest. The circular route identified by the organisers is from Killingholme Airfield along the A160 (Humber Road), past the petrol station and the oil refineries then travelling up Manby Road towards Immingham before returning via King’s Road roundabout. This protest activity is causing some minor disruption to the road network and access to businesses and residential areas in the vicinity. We advise car drivers to find an alternative route and avoid the impacted area Our current understanding is that the protest will continue throughout the day until approximately 6pm. We are committed to fulfilling our duty to protect the human rights of all the groups and individuals with an interest in this situation and we continue to liaise with organisers of the protest to address any concerns. For further updates on the protest please follow our social media channels, visit the Grimsby Live website and tune in to BBC Radio Humberside.
