Action update 22/11/25

Good Morning,

Yesterday the local Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the weekly Slaterfield Veterans & Residents group at Heywood Young Peoples Centre to speak with the public about any concerns in the area. One member of the public raised a concern over a vehicle around Shaw Street with separate number plates.

Upon this information PC Owen attended the area and came across a Silver Ford Focus with 2 seperate number plates. After a through search through the vehicle a number of boxes containing Nitrous Oxide was seized and the vehicle was recovered for being potentially used in crime.

This was a great result for the team based one piece of information that was passed on by a member of the public. That's why its important to us that if there's any suspicious activity that you notice in your area and feel its something that we should be aware of then there are many ways to report…anonymously via Crimestoppers, online via the GMP website or if you prefer to report face-to-face then there will be upcoming drop-in surgeries that I will hosting before the Christmas period.
