Quick Thinking Officers...

We hope you have been keeping warm and dry today. Your City Centre Safer Neighbourhood team are out no matter the weather patrolling the streets and today Police Community Support Officers observed a male acting suspiciously who also matched the description of someone under suspicion for theft. Quick communication between PCSO's and local PC's saw the male arrested for theft (they went Christmas shopping without their wallets it would seem) and they also had a knife on them when searched. 

Officers also spotted a male smoking a home-made cigarette that was not tobacco. Upon detaining the male for a search officers located mamba and drugs offences are being investigated.

PCSO’s then spotted another male in the city centre acting suspiciously. PC’s quickly attended and detained a male for a search, finding more mamba on their person. Someone else who thinks it’s acceptable to smoke drugs in the streets …
