Do not leave your car running Unattended |

Resident
As temperatures drop, many drivers start their vehicles and leave them running to defrost windows. Please avoid doing this. Leaving your car unattended with the engine running creates serious risks:
Vehicle Theft - Opportunistic thieves often target cars left running. It only takes seconds for your car to be stolen.
Insurance Issues - If your car is stolen while unattended and the keys are inside your insurance may not cover the loss.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO INSTEAD Stay with your vehicle while it warms up. Use an ice scraper or de-icer spray to clear windows before driving. Never leave keys in the ignition if you're not inside the car. Consider using a windscreen cover overnight to reduce frost build-up.
