Lock it or lose it - It only takes seconds for someone to enter your car.  Whether you are de-icing the car, dropping off a parcel, or popping into a shop - lock up.  Double check that your car is locked by checking the handle or your key fob.  You can use a steering lock, check your wing mirrors have folded (if they usually do) and alarm is on.  Never leave your keys in the ignition or on the seat.

Park in secure locations - It can be easy to opt for cheap or pop-up car parks but these are not always the most secure.  Parking next to other cars can prevent criminals stealing your catalytic converter and attempting to open your car door.  Many car parks offer CCTV surveillance, opt to park near any CCTV.
