A week of action |
||
|
It’s been a lively week in Piccadilly Gardens as the dedicated team of officers patrolled, observed, chased, arrested, and completed their admin. From covert observations to nabbing wanted burglars, the team have been putting in the legwork to keep the city centre safe.
Tuesday: Plain Clothes, Sharp Eyes, Swift Arrests The week kicked off with Sergeant Wyatt and PC Duffy going undercover—likely blending seamlessly into the Gardens’ famously eclectic scenery. Their sharp observations led to the arrest of three offenders for Possession With Intent to Supply Cannabis. Meanwhile, PC Simm tracked down a male who had failed to appear in court for a burglary. He appeared very promptly after that.
Wednesday: A Midweek Marathon of Arrests PC Zamecnik arrested a male who had breached a Community Order, proving that even midweek misbehaviour doesn’t go unnoticed. PC Duffy kept the momentum going, arresting a male wanted in connection with eight burglary offences. PC McKenzie responded swiftly to a shoplifting incident on Parker Street—because even a quick grab-and-go can’t outrun the Gardens team. And rounding out the day, Sergeant Wyatt arrested a male found in possession of Class A drugs.
Thursday: No Rest for the Garden Guardians PC Khokhar arrested a male for Public Order offences—someone already banned from the City Centre but apparently hoping the ban didn’t apply on Thursdays. PC Simm continued his streak, arresting a male for Theft who has since been recalled to prison. PC Zamecnik added another arrest to the tally, this time for a Breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Friday: The Calm After the Storm (Also Known as Admin Day) After three days of action that would impress even an action movie director, the team have spent today catching up on admin—the true unsung hero of crime-fighting. With paperwork nearly conquered, the officers are looking forward to one of the team’s well-earned weekends off.
A Word From the Sergeant “I’m extremely proud of the team’s hard work and professionalism this week. Their proactive approach has led to significant arrests and helped keep Piccadilly Gardens safer for everyone. And rest assured—we’ll be back.”
