Out and about this week
Last week, officers from your Neighbourhood Policing Team had the privilege of joining students at Seahaven Academy who were hosting the Rapport Group delivering assemblies on road safety.
Elsewhere, in Seaford, Officers extended a huge thank you to all the amazing ladies who welcomed local officers along to their International Lunch this week.
Sceptre week - knife crime awareness
Earlier this week officers visited Peacehaven Community School this morning (20th) as part of the national week dedicated to raising awareness around knife crime.
Road safety checks this week
With darker nights drawing in, officers from your Lewes Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out additional vehicle safety checks across the district to help keep all road users safe. These checks focus on ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, lights are working, insurance is up to date, and drivers are complying with licence requirements.
Community meetings this month and December 2025
November (last few) -Wednesday 26th November, from 18:00-19:30, at Anchor Field Surgery car park, Ringmer, meet your Ringmer officer for advice, support and reporting on community concerns. -Saturday 15th November, from 14:30-15:30 at Piddinghoe Sailing Club, (W3W- ///limit.divisible.award) -Monday 17th November, from 18:00-19:00, outside the village Church, in Firle, for a morning of advice, support and reporting on local issues.
December -Thursday 4th of December, from 15:00-16:00, parked up along Lewes High Street, Cliffe, outsdie Waterstones bookshop, Christmas Crime Prevention Event. -Monday 8th December 10:30-11:30, Avis Parade Shops, Avis Road, Newhaven, for a community police street surgery. -Monday 8th December 11:00-12:00, Lewes High Street, Cliffe, outside Waterstones bookshop, Christmas community hour for advice and support as we head into Christmas. -Monday 8th december, from 14:00-15:00 Landport Community Play Park, park and patrol with local PCSOs. -Friday 12th December – 10.30-12.00 at Centenary Park (The Big Park), Piddinghoe Ave, Peacehaven. -Saturday 13th December 10.30-1200, at The Salts Recreation Ground, Seaford, speak to your local officers about any concerns/local issues you may have -Monday 15th December, from 11:00-12:00, Wivesfield Village Green community hour with your village PCSOs. -Tuesday 16th December, from 14:00-15:00, join officers at Nevill park for reporting, support and patrols around the estate. -Monday 22nd December, from 11:00-12:00, at Newick Village Hall meet your local officer for a morning of advice, support and reporting on local issues.
A chance to not only meet your local officers, but obtain support, advice and information about current crime trends, report local issues, and hear directly from those who patrol your streets on the work being conducted in your area to help keep communities safe.
