Burglary Near You - Allerton Road BD15

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Wednesday 19th November, this occurred in the evening between 1630hrs and 2035hrs and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATES STATED, UNKNOWN SUSPECTS HAVE DAMAGED THE LOCK AND PULLED THE BARREL OUT TO GAIN ENTRY VIA FRONT DOOR. SUSPECTS HAVE THEN CARRIED OUT AN UNTIDY SEARCH AND TAKEN ASIAN GOLD AND CASH BEFORE LEAVING THE HOUSE IN AN UNKNOWN DIRECTION

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 1600hrs and 2100hrs on 19th November to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
