Avoid Parcel Theft |
||
|
Good Morning Residents,
With the festive season soon approaching we are purchasing gifts online, lot's of delivery companies have different delivery policies in place usually on a delivery block of morning, afternoon or early evenings and sometimes notify you when parcel is out for delivery with the parcel courier.
Remember if you are not going to be home for delivery then contact the delivery company to make alternative delivery instructions such as leaving in a safe place or maybe ask a nearby neighbour if they can accept the parcel on your behalf. Many delivery companies have delivery collection points in the areas close to your home and can share the location and a pin number to access the box. Alternatively you can ask the delivery company to drop off at a local parcel shop or post office or if you live in an apartment complex leave with security or concierge.
For those that don't make alternative delivery instructions you risk the parcels left on doorsteps being taken by opportunist thieves, this is not a pleasant experience, follow the advice above to avoid being a victim of parcel theft
