* Mini Police *

Yesterday, 19/11/2025, pupils from St Marys Primary School represented our community by attending the Attestation for this years Mini Police Initiative, making their ‘Police Promise’ and receiving their uniforms. This event was held at Bolton Town Hall and saw 90 pupils from 9 different schools across the district become Mini Police Officers. 

The scheme involves pupils in Years 5 and 6 and aims to break down barriers between young people and ourselves as Police Officers. They will participate in five events in total across the school year, such as a CSI Day and Traffic Operations, to provide the officers with an opportunity to see what work the Police carry out on a daily basis.

It is a scheme that we had great success with during the last school year and I am very excited to continue working with St Marys this year to hopefully have the same success. If you see us out and about during events this year, please show your support!
