A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our Parents Awareness Evening earlier this week. Your engagement and willingness to learn more about the issues facing young people in our community make a real difference.

We are grateful to our brilliant hosts, Sir Robert Woodard and to our partners Early Help and Electric Storm Youth for their fantastic support.

This event was proudly delivered by our Neighbourhood Youth Officers (NYOs) alongside SID Youth, who spoke about how we work within schools and the important partnerships that help keep young people safe.

Throughout the evening, we covered a wide range of topics including:

• How NYOs operate day-to-day in schools

• The judicial system and how it supports young people

• Key lesson inputs such as knife crime, exploitation, online safety, and more

• Current trends and areas of concern affecting young people

We received incredibly positive feedback, and we hope the session helped answer your questions and provided valuable insight into the challenges and support available for young people.
