Operation Sceptre - Knife Crime Week

Good afternoon all,

This week Neighbourhood Policing officers in Lancashire are participating in Operation Sceptre which is a national operation dedicated to tackling and reducing knife crime. During this week, officers are taking part in knife sweeps, educational inputs, and targeting problem areas. 

Today, officers of Sharoe Green conducted a weapon sweep on Garstang Road playing fields. This had a positive outcome and no weapons or suspicious items were found on the park. 

If you know anyone who may be carrying a knife, please report via 101 or alternatively 999 in an emergency.
