Sommerfeld Road Speed Survey 19/11/2025

On 19th November 2025, PC 22841 APPLETON, PC 21917 SLATER, and PCSO 40342 NEWBOROUGH attended Sommerfield Road in Hadley to conduct a speed survey following concerns raised by local residents. The average speed for the road was recorded as 24.54mph.

Speaking with local residents and businesses, they have expressed concerns over vehicles speeding during the evening hours resulting in collisions. They have stated that the police presence in the area and use of speed indicator displays has helped in reducing the number of speeding vehicles and anti-social driving in the area.
