Dear Resident A man has been charged in connection with a burglary at a church in Hemel Hempstead. It was reported that a window had been smashed at the Alexandra Road Congregational Church, sometime overnight between 4 and 5 October, and that a collection box containing cash had been stolen from within. Following an investigation by the Dacorum Criminal Investigation Department (CID) a man was arrested on Friday (7 November). The man, aged 55 from Luton, appeared before St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday (10 November) and was charged with burglary (non-dwelling). He was released by the courts on conditional bail ahead of a trial at a later date. | ||
