Arrest of Offensive Weapon and Class B/C Drugs

PCSO Hamish WILLIAMS-MURRAY & PCSO JASZEWSKI were on patrol when they identified a vehicle parked with two individuals inhaling Class C Nitrous oxide from balloons.  The PCSO's called for a uniformed constable to assist for the purpose of a stop and search, as they believed inside the vehicle was drugs. Once the constables arrived, a Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 stop and search was conducted on the persons and vehicle. The vehicle search located an illegal knife, two class B cannabis joints, three class C nitrous oxide cannisters and general drug paraphernalia. One of the individuals was arrested as they admitted possession of the items, and the other individual was served with a community resolution notice, and was immediately dispersed from the area.
