Community Safety Message

As the winter months bring darker nights, we often see an increase in burglaries across our communities. Longer hours of darkness provide greater opportunities for offenders, and we want to work together to reduce the risk.

We encourage all residents to take simple steps to protect their homes:

Keep doors and windows locked, even when at home.

Use timers on lights to give the impression that someone is inside.

Ensure sheds, garages, and outbuildings are secure.

Report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.

If you see something suspicious, please call 101 to report it. In an emergency, always dial 999. You can also report non-emergency incidents online via the Greater Manchester Police website.

Your vigilance and cooperation are vital in helping us keep our neighborhoods safe. By working together, we can reduce crime and protect our community during the winter season.
