Op Sceptre Update

Dear Residents, 

Yesterday was the start of  Operation Sceptre, a national week long operation to tackling and reducing knife crime. 

During this week your Neighbourhood Policing Team will be taking part in various activities from weapon sweeps in local parks/areas of note to pro active targeting of problem areas. 

We having been speaking with dog walkers and school children using the park areas about the Operation. 

The week also encourages people to surrender any weapons that they may have in their possession. Your local knife disposal bin is in Wigan Town Centre near the bus station. There is also a knife disposal bin in Wigan Police Station.
