SORN Vehicle recovered

If a vehicle has a Statutory Off Road Notification SORN it must NOT be used or parked on a public road. This includes streets, lay-bys and other publicly accessible areas. Recently we have received reports of SORN vehicles being kept on public roads. To avoid fines, enforcement action or vehicle seizure, please ensure ;

SORN vehicles are kept only on private land (e.g driveway or garage)

The vehicle is not driven unless tax and insured are reinstated

DVLA is notified is the vehicle is brought back into use.

Officers will be monitoring local areas and taking action where necessary to keep pir roads safe and complaint.

If you believe a vehicle is being used illegally please report it via 101 or online.
