VAWG STALL Outside Ilford Train Station |
||
Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) Engagement Stall – Ilford Train StationThank you to all the residents, commuters, and members of the public who engaged with us during our Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) awareness stall outside Ilford Train Station. The event was very positive, with a high level of interaction and interest from the community throughout the day. During the stall, we spoke with numerous individuals about issues relating to women’s safety, personal security, and reporting concerns. We provided crime prevention advice, including tips on staying safe while travelling, identifying suspicious behaviour, and using reporting tools such as StreetSafe. Many people also shared their own experiences and questions, which allowed for meaningful and constructive conversations. We also took the opportunity to highlight local support services and encourage the public to stay connected with their neighbourhood policing team by signing up to Met Engage. It was encouraging to see several new sign-ups and receive positive feedback about our presence and engagement. Events like this are an important part of our ongoing commitment to tackling violence against women and girls, increasing community confidence, and ensuring the public feels safe and supported. We will continue working closely with residents and partners to deliver further engagement opportunities across Ilford. Thank you again to everyone who stopped by. Please keep an eye on Met Engage for future events and updates. PCSO Sethi/PCSO Aleem
