North Norfolk Survey Feedback |
Dear Resident, Thanks to those of you who completed our recent short survey. This showed that a significant majority (77%) feel part of their neighbourhood, although 23% do not. Most neighbours (76%) regularly interact, indicating strong social ties, (10%) interact occasionally and (14%) rarely. Personal safety perceptions were overwhelmingly positive, with (95%) said they felt safe in their local neighbourhoods. The overwhelming majority (77%) believe there are ways they could be more engaged with Norfolk Neighbourhood Watch (23%) feeling this is not needed. The vast majority (68%) said they did not know or had not had any contact with their local policing teams (Beat Manager) however, (23%) indicated that they had. Communication within the community is generally effective, as (68%) reported few challenges. However, (32%) do experience communication difficulties, which may hinder community cohesion and participation for a significant minority. Conclusion: The survey results suggest neighbourhoods in north Norfolk with strong social connections and high levels of perceived safety. There is widespread interest for members in increased engagement in a largely positive communication environment. Nonetheless, a minority feel disconnected, experience communication challenges, or have limited contact with local police. Addressing these areas could further strengthen the sense of community and improve overall satisfaction among residents. Thanks again for those of you who completed the survey. Please feel free to share across your local networks.
Best Wishes
