OPERATION SCEPTRE

Today is the start of Operation Sceptre, a twice-yearly nationwide week of events aimed at tackling knife crime and steering young people onto better trajectories.

Today at 5pm officers from your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at Tesco, Waverley Street, please come along and speak to us if you have any concerns around knife crime.

Throughout the week, officers will also be carrying out knife sweeps in target areas and school presentations at different schools around Long Eaton and its surrounding areas.
