Dear Residents,

✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

Officers have had good outcomes this week with successful arrest attempts in the area, and charges pending. You have provided us with some useful intelligence in relation to drug dealing and we have carried out many targeted patrols in our ‘hot spot’ locations. We have liaised with our partnership agencies in relation to local homeless people with plans to assist agencies in getting people into safer places for Christmas! Officers have attended vulnerable residents (accompanied with our partnership agencies) with positive outcomes achieved. We have also visited addresses of child shoplifters in the area, who have been spoken with, together with their families, advising any continued behaviours will have serious consequences!

Why It Matters: We hope continued efforts in speaking to local people, and increasing our foot patrols on the ground will help towards making our community safer.

✅ Crime Prevention Tips:

"We’re seeing an increase in house break-ins. Many burglars get into homes through open windows or doors.

Follow our tips to keep your home safe:

Doors and windows - keep your doors and windows locked when you go out.

Lights and alarms - As the nights get darker, a low cost solution to making an empty house look like somebody is at home, is to leave a lamp with a low energy light bulb on a timer.

If you have an alarm then make sure you USE IT when you go out and before you go to bed.

Sheds and garden - make sure your sheds and garages are locked and secure. Always tidy away your garden tools and lock ladders away to stop burglars from using them. Please check locks, install motion lights, and report anything suspicious."
