I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Officers from Scarborough Rural and Whitby Neighbourhood Policing Teams have been conducting rural patrols and engagements as part of Operation Trailblaze. We aim to detect, deter and disrupt illegal and anti-social use of off-road vehicles in and around rural areas of Scarborough, Ryedale and Whitby, which can also cause damage to forestry areas, wildlife and natural habitats. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.northyorkshire.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
