Safer Places for Women and Girls - Business Safety Week Initiative |
||
|
In conjunction with 'Safer Business Action Week,' - On Saturday 15/11/2025, PCSO Worden from Burton Police Station visited the Eton Park Co-Op on Princess Way, Burton along with several other local businesses in the area. The purpose of these visits was to engage with staff regarding the initiative "Safer Places for Women and Girls" within their workplaces and to encourage participation in the associated charter. The Violence Reduction Alliance (VRA) firmly believes that harassment and violence in any form are unacceptable and is dedicated to fostering safer public spaces for all individuals, particularly women, girls, and those who may find themselves in vulnerable situations. Customers visiting the store also had the opportunity to raise any local Policing concerns and were able to sign up for the Staffordshire Smart Alert service to keep informed about local Policing issues - https://www.staffordshiresmartalert.co.uk/#SignUp If your business is interested in signing up for the Safer Places for Women and Girls charter, please visit the following link for more information - https://violencereductionalliance.co.uk/safer-places-for-women-and-girls/).
