Ruislip and Eastcote Businesses Welcome Successful

Safer Business Action Day

Ruislip and Eastcote businesses welcomed a successful Safer Business Action (SaBA) Day, with local Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) reporting strong engagement and minimal crime despite challenging weather conditions. The initiative aimed to reassure local retailers following a spate of commercial burglaries the previous night and to promote safer shopping environments.

Throughout the day, officers engaged with the community, reinforcing communication between police and businesses. Crime levels remained low, with only a few incidents recorded:

A prolific shoplifter was arrested by Northwood Hills officers for breaching crown court bail after being found in the company of another known shoplifter near a shoplifting scene.

A community resolution was issued for possession of Class B drugs.

A Penalty Notice for Disorder (PND) was given for a minor shoplifting offence.

Four stop-and-searches were conducted as part of proactive policing efforts.

The event was delivered successfully by Eastcote, Northwood Hills, Colham and Cowley, Hillingdon East, Ruislip, Wood End SNT and Uxbridge TCT.
