This evening, Rick covered most of Rush Green before venturing onto the Parkside beat over the course of more than 4 hours, but the night was underpinned by two residential burglaries in the RM7 postcode (10.10 miles). "This is usually the part where I left you know where the team have been patrolling, but the two break-ins tonight were disappointing for me and understandably distressing for the families directly affected.
The ward has a strong record when it comes to burglary, twice recording London's lowest rate, but tonight was the opposite of what we're out there trying to achieve." -Rick (7199EA) Starting off in the country park (p) and checking in with the traveler site (e5.20pm), it was on to Fels Farm Mews (5.32pm) and Parish Fields (5.59pm, p) via Eastbrook Drive.
Valentines Way (6.50pm), and all of the Gorseway (7.01pm) side was covered, including Footpath 155 (7.09pm), Rose Glen and Lilac Gardens.
After backtracking to visit homes impacted by earlier break-ins in Gorseway and Foxglove Road, it was on to Hooks Hall Drive (8.50pm) via Fels Field.
Here, patrols included Bell Farm Avenue, Tony Rawson Way (7.08pm) and Hardie Road. Lower Dagenham Road (9.14pm, p), Felhurst Crescent and Delvers Mead ended the night.
