This awareness month promotes: Removing stigma around support-seeking Encouraging open discussions Recognising early signs of distress Signposting clear support pathways Encouraging positive lifestyle habits
π How West Midlands Police Support Mental HealthSupport for Officers and Staff West Midlands Police (WMP) provides a range of support measures to ensure the wellbeing of its workforce, including: A comprehensive Wellbeing Policy supporting emotional, physical and psychological health A 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme offering counselling and self-help resources TRiM (Trauma Risk Management) peer support after traumatic incidents A structured Wellbeing Strategy focused on prevention, early identification, and recovery These initiatives help reduce stigma, promote resilience and ensure individuals feel supported. Support for the Community WMP works in partnership with health and community organisations to ensure people experiencing mental health concerns receive the right care: Right Care, Right Person directs vulnerable individuals to the most appropriate services Public welfare advice and links to trusted mental health partners
