Incident Update - Wood Street, Middleton 13/11/25

Good morning,

Following an incident that occurred on 13 November 2025 outside St Mary’s Primary School on Wood Street, Middleton, a local individual was arrested and subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act.

We want to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident related to mental health, and there is no ongoing risk to the public. Despite circulating rumours, there is no threat to the safety of individuals, the school or the wider Middleton community from this individual.
